Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering Direct Admission

DSCE DIRECT ADMISSION 2020

Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) conducts a one-day course on Direct Admission to Engineering (DAE) in the Physics B course. The curriculum is titled DSCE DIRECT ADMISSION TO PHYSICS (Part I).

DSCE DIRECT ADMISSION TO PHYSICS (Part I) consists of the following sections. Part I is available only once in a four-year course. This is presented in the form of a tutorial session and consists of several lectures which consist of basic physics knowledge, particle physics, atomic physics, optics, materials science and engineering.

The graduation requirements of this course are not very difficult. Students have to have taken a B Physics or a C Physics in high school. They will also have to complete three standard courses and their final papers. These four courses are Physics, Optics, Biophysics and Materials Science.

Academic Skills - academically, students should not have any problem in passing this course. However, it is advisable that students should have an overall grade of 'B' in each of the subjects. The grades for these subjects are usually expressed as an A, B or C grade. It is also necessary that students have taken some introductory physics courses like Biophysics I and II.

The primary criterion for DSCE DIRECT ADMISSION TO ENGINEERING is that the students should be of good physical ability. At least the average B average in high school is required for this course. In addition, students should be in good health condition and able to deal with the physical demands placed on them by the subject material.

Physical Ability - students are required to do plenty of independent research on themselves. The two required subjects which are involved in the research are Physics and Chemistry.

The students must give an account of all the experiments they perform under the supervision of the professor. The test papers should reflect the types of problems that the students come across when working in the course.

The test paper should be based on real experiments that students did while taking DSCE DIRECT ADMISSION  in the first two years of higher education. The test papers should be short and readable.

The Subject Content - the DSC should cover subjects like Atomic Theory, E=mc2, Quantum Physics, Fluid Mechanics, Force and Energy. These subjects will be used to predict the behavior of different materials under certain conditions. Different materials such as metals, ceramics, plastics, composites, paper etc.

Students are expected to handle various situations under the guidance of the professor. They are expected to constructively discuss the situation, making use of both theoretical and experimental data in solving the problem.

The Course Program of DSC DIRECT ADMISSION TO PHYSICS is similar to that of the course of Physics and Chemistry. Other important subjects which are part of the course include Optics, Real and Relativistic Physics, Micro and Nano Engineering, Acoustics, Nanotechnology, Computer Aided Design, etc.

If the students are able to clear all the subjects in the recommended length of time, they will be eligible for a degree in DSC DIRECT ADMISSION TO PHYSICS. With this course students can get a competitive edge in the competitive environment.
